Scaling a Sexual Wellness Brand with SEO – How We Did It for Ecstasia

Client Background
Ecstasia is a sexual wellness D2C brand started by Prakhar Raj and Hamid Iqbal in December 2024. Prakhar, a school friend of mine, works in a corporate job but has always wanted to start his own business. So, when he launched Ecstasia, I was his go-to person for marketing support.
Phase 1 : The Initial Roadblocks
We began with a clear plan to run Meta Ads. Everything was ready – product inventory arrived, brand guidelines were in place, the website was built, and we started creating product photos and videos.
However, we soon hit a big roadblock. Running ads for a sexual wellness brand on Meta is extremely tough. Ads often get rejected or the ad account gets banned – even without clear reasons. I even reached out to ad360.ai (an agency that provides agency ad accounts), but they refused to work in this niche.
It became clear that we couldn’t rely on Meta or Google ads. After investing over ₹1 lakh in product and setup, we were stuck – we had no way to get traffic to our website.

Phase 4 - Scaling Up
Now that our main product is ranking, we’re expanding our SEO efforts to target more products and cities across India. This will help us reach more people and turn them into paying customers.
