The Story:

Step 1: The Customer Compass

At Viral Groww, our approach to performance marketing for D2C brands begins with a critical first step: Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). This ensures the foundation of the brand’s website is strong enough to convert visitors into customers effectively. For Krvvy, we implemented this strategy right from Day 1.

 

Following this, we assigned a dedicated developer to implement the recommended site changes, optimizing the website to enhance its overall conversion rate.

Additionally, the founders’ team had already put in significant effort, curating exceptional model photoshoots and high-quality static visuals featuring Krvvy’s products. These assets perfectly complemented the changes, reinforcing the brand’s appeal and driving customer engagement.

Step 2: From Sketch to Shelf

With the foundational optimization in place, the next step in our process was to transform Krvvy’s raw assets into high-converting creatives. This involved creating visually compelling content through minimal yet impactful edits that aligned with the brand’s identity.

Our creative team developed over:

  • 10+ graphic designs
  • 10+ premium-quality videos

Step 3: The Optimization Arena

As you can see in the screenshot we implemented two type of campaigns in the month of June’24

So, as per our D2C marketing strategy we focus on 2 type of campaigns first i.e. Broad Creative Testing & Keywords Testing

Broad Creative Testing (BCT) – This simply means that we are giving a budget on adset level with minimal inputs about the targeting of the audience and allowing Meta to spend the amount on the creative and get sales on that. 

In this type of campaign we are testing Creatives as that’s the only variable in this type of campaign.

This is the exact campaign structure that we follow in BCT type of campaigns.

Budget per adset should be 1.5X the AOV

 

Keywords Testing (KT) – This simply means that we are doing testing on the keywords level for a particular set of graphics.

In this type of campaign all the adsets have different targeting settings as per the ideal customer profile we create. 

 

Below it the exact structure of the campaign on KT.

With the right type of optimization we were able to get the winners within the first 30 days of starting performance marketing for Krvvy.

This above snippet is for the period 14th Jul – 31st Jul, 2024 as you can see we have our winners in Keywords Testing and the campaign has been scaled to hit a net adspend of 1 lac+ within 15 days.

 

Important Note – 

For those entrepreneurs who are starting their D2C brands from zero and want to scale to seven figures and beyond, you need to understand that in 2025 you have very little to do with ads managers. The work is to be done at the content part where you create amazing content as per your ideal customer profile.

 

Nowadays Meta says creative is the targeting that you have to do for your ads, your creatives should target different segments of audiences. 

Based on this above info graphic you should start creating ads for your customers.

Step 4: The Growth Engine Calibration

At this stage we have an idea which type of creatives work for us either that’s a graphic or a video.

If video than what type of videos work best for us, all these questions as answered by meta and then as performance marketers we scale up the whole campaign to next level and aim to go high and high with revenue.

 

By the end of Sept’24 we had our 20 lacs of gross revenue.
