If you guys have any queries that you want me to answer, please post it below and I will get back to you. Thank you!
So, guys, I will be explaining to you today about the types of digital marketing, depending upon which you can choose the type that suits you best. If you have come to this blog for the first time, please refer to the previous article. So let's start with different forms of digital marketing. The very first type that is very popular in this field is Search Engine Optimization or SEO, as you might have heard. But what exactly is SEO? How it works and how it will affect your website. When we enter any keyword on google or any other search engine it displays numerous results that may feature the same content but is ranked quite differently. SEO is nothing but organizing, structuring, and updating the quality of content on your website so that it attracts a large amount of organic internet traffic and ranks on the first page of search engine results pages commonly known as SERPs. SEO itself is divided into 3 subparts viz On-page SEO, Off-page SEO, and Technical SEO. I will explain all of these in detail.
1. On-page SEO: When we visit any website we see a large quantity of content, people reviews, services offered, Q&A, and FAQs. All of these factors which are presented on the page helps in attracting free traffic, which further enables the search engine to analyze the website and rank it accordingly among its competitor websites. All the efforts that are done on the page to improve the user experience, content quality, the ranking of the website on the top in SERP are known as On-Page SEO.
2. Off-Page SEO: While viewing the content, we see several links that are stated on the page, and clicking them takes us to another site, verifying the authenticity of the content, convenience of reaching the related content from a single website and enhancing the overall experience. The selection of these external links reflects the sincerity of the website host and his solicitude for the readers and is covered under off-page SEO.
3. Technical SEO: Quantity and quality of content, external links, or the visualization of data are not merely the factors that will attract a huge amount of traffic, but also some technical factors that work at the backend to improve the website ranking. These are the loading speed, hosting choice, and the analysis of data. If your website has more content but has poor loading speed, chances of it not ranking on the top increases because for search engines technical aspect of the website is equally important as the front end.
SMO the second most widely used type of digital marketing. With the internet boom, almost everyone has a social media presence now. Most of them have a profile on almost every social media platform. So, what else may be a better way to promote your business than an organized people's network. In the coming time, the only direction in which social media is moving is forward and the number of people using these platforms is also going to increase. So will be the increase in the chances of achieving higher revenues by making their presence online. Social media empowers both the companies and users to have a one to one interaction by posting regular posts, informing people about the tasks performed by the companies to improve customer experience, customers can share their feedback, grievances, and the changes they want to see in the services or the products offered by the company. A broad customer reach is among the major factor behind the evolution and the success of SMO. Companies can get their products featured even by themselves or by some social media influencers who have a large follower base.
The other important form of digital marketing is Website development. Yes, you heard it right website development plays a key role in making any business successful in today's digitally world. It's same as an offline store with a proper address, a definite path, a dedicated team working at the front as well as back end. But why is this required now? Can't the businesses prosper without a website? The answer is no. Website development nowadays is not like it used to be a decade ago. Every business you name it, educational, commercial, agricultural, etc. every enterprise is acquiring an online place to represent themselves, getting them digitally connected and available to today's consumers. However, like traditional stores, website development is also a step by step process and has different sections.
Websites are nothing but data that is stored on the servers, which can be accessed at any point in time, at any place around the globe, and by anyone who has access to it by using web browsers. The other thing which comes into play is the name, the extension, and the choice of hosting that you want for your website depending upon the purpose and its outreach. The next thing is the Hypertext Transfer Protocol or HTTP, which is a tool to convert the code into the desired form of a website so that it can be accessed by the users. The whole process is interlinked. For instance, before HTTP you need to write a code for the data that you want to present and the inputs that you want the user to enter. After you have got your code you need to organize the website both at the front and back end. Yes, exactly like an offline store with counters at the front and inventory at the back. After stacking the data at the front end you need to analyze and make sure that the data provided solves its purpose. To make sure you need a team of people who are constantly working at the back end and ensuring good aesthetics of the website at the front end. When you are all set you need a Content Management System (CMS). The CMS will help you in managing the web content and improve your website by adding the required add-ons and plugins.
Due to globalization and the race to attract more organic traffic the opportunities in the field of digital marketing with a specialization in any domain of web development have soared. The candidates who know the Front end or back end development, website developer,
mobile, and game developers are in high demand. The number of jobs is only going to increase in this field. So, make sure you keep on checking my blog and be updated about the information regarding Digital Marketing.
